The TEAMGROUP T-Force Vulcan Z is a 2.5 inch SATA solid state drive aimed at gamers and everyday PC upgrades. It uses 3D TLC NAND and ships in a 7 mm thick enclosure measuring 100 by 69.9 mm, so it drops into most laptop and desktop SATA bays without adapters. Capacities in this family run from 256 GB through 2 TB for boot drives, game libraries, and older system refreshes.

TEAMGROUP rates sequential performance up to 550 MB/s read and 500 MB/s write on the 1 TB and 2 TB models, with slightly lower ceilings on smaller SKUs. The line is DRAM-less but uses an SLC caching algorithm to speed burst writes. Published endurance follows JEDEC TBW figures, from 80 TB on the 256 GB model to 400 TB on the 2 TB drive.

Firmware support includes S.M.A.R.T. monitoring, TRIM, LDPC error correction, wear leveling, and end-to-end data protection. The drive has no moving parts, which cuts noise and vibration compared with spinning disks. TEAMGROUP lists shock resistance to 1500G for 0.5 ms and an MTBF of 1,000,000 hours on its product materials.

Vulcan Z fits any platform with a free 2.5 inch SATA 6 Gb/s port, including many Intel and AMD desktops, older notebooks, and compact office PCs that do not have M.2 slots.
